Well, we did it. We got a second TIVO.

We’re geeks. We admit it. We had TIVO conflict – either in that I wanted to watch something and Brenda also wanted to watch something else on it; or that she wanted to watch something in the bedroom. With both TIVOs on our network and Multi-Room-Viewing you can share all your TIVO shows between all the TIVOs. Plus the first one we got was only a 40 hour TIVO (and that’s 40 hours at the “basic” quality). Really, it was about 18 hours or less, so keeping movies around for a few months was crowding things out. Tivo has a deal for TIVO owners – an 80 hour TIVO for $99 after rebate – which is normally the cost of a 40 hour unit. So we decided to go for it. The TIVO has totally replaced the VCR for us.

The 80 hour will reside in the living room, and the 40 hour in the bedroom. I set up the new one yesterday. Plus – once we buy a house – it will be even more convenient – because they’ll be upstairs/downstairs.

TIVO Heaven. Never go back to regular TV again. Ever.
